Mark,

I'm in the same boat and searched Danny Calafia's site for the answer to
just that question to no avail. The site has all kinds of cool,
reveleant information on how the spiders work, etc, but nothing that I
could find on this mission critical issue.

In my case, my company's flagship site has a free database of
information on some 12,000 companies but it's all dynamically created.
My only guess was that if I put up a straight HTML page that contained
the names of the companies in chunks of 200 or so, with links that will
dynamically create the actual company listings themselves, I would get
more recognition from the engines. I tested this out with one chunk of
companies and also threw all the company names into the META keyword
spot but it didn't seem to work even after a couple of months.

We're a pretty popular site but this really bugs me that probably the
best jumping off spot for company information on the web can't get
indexed by these all-powerful gatekeepers. Any help whatsoever would be
greatly appreciated.

Anxious in Austin.

P.S. Being a new guy on this list I hate to concur with the guy from
nerds.com about the participation level on this list but I'm on a
different list with 1500 people on it that generates at least 4 times as
many postings. Just an observation. No flames necessary.
