Richard, on-line, it makes little difference, since
people will click based on other factors than the URL
itself. I haven't seen the URL itself affect search
engine results more strongly than the actual pages'
content, except in a few *rare* cases.

Off-line, it's important to keep the URL incredibly
simple (as you've seen). Keep the original (hyphenated)
version for the reasons you cite, and keep a second,
simple one for off-line publicity, e.g., tandler.com.
