At 4:20 PM -0400 2/18/97, Aric_Boyles_at_discovery.com made this statement of
rare insight:
> How many times have you clicked on an ad
> just because you thought the ad was creative or because you were bored?
> Should this warrant a higher CPM while disregarding impressions?

Also, what about misleading ads? Ones that you thought were of interest,
but the site turned out to be something entirely different from what you've
expected?

Now sometimes this is just a difference in outlook, and wasn't done
intentionally. ("Get your CD's here!" could mean at least two different
things, to use a simple example.)

But I've seen quite a few banners that attempt to be mysterious/intriguing
-- you have absolutely no idea what the site you'll be going to is actually
about. I've stopped clicking on these unless I'm really bored or in the
mood to explore, because usually the site is of no interest to me at all.

Q: Why should I pay $50-$70 CPM for targeted ads on Internet networks?
A: You probably shouldn't. With Adbot, bidding starts at only $5 CPM.
