As Ad Director for SRDS' Interactive Advertising Source I would like
to share some information about this new SRDS product.
First the book has just been redesigned and web sites are now organized by
content. Many
content classifications have been carried over from the print sources
for Consumer Magazines and Business-to-Business publications, as well
as a new section for Ad Networks, Geographic based content, and special
online categories such as search engines. On March 1st we will
launch an online supplemental service called URLink. This will be
available off our web site to subscribers only and include links to listed
web sites with top line information from the book (no rates or
traffic at this time). This new book, with a URLink password
included, can be purchased for a $299 annual fee (although there is
a $249 offer currently) thru www.srds.com or 1-800-851-srds.
There is no charge to be listed in the book for Web publishers who
accept paid advertising. However there is a fee associated
with having your information duplicated into other appropriate
content classifications. To become listed you can print a new
listing form from our web site- www.srds.com and fax to SRDS offices.
(access the form through the product information page for the
Interactive Advertising Source) You
can also contact the Listing Supervisor, Ken Daniels, directly at
kdani_at_srds.com or 847-375-5079 to request a form.
The book is currently published quarterly (next issue- May)
with plans for a more comprehensive online service to be announced soon.
The book and
online service offer paid advertising opportunities for Web
publishers to reach the online ad planners who subscribe.
As a final note we are working with the industry in moving toward more
standardized data collection
for online advertising and welcome input from industry
participants.

Q: Is it true that advertisers pay no commissions in the Adbot Network?
A: That's right. If you win an auction, what you bid is what you pay.
