25:1 banner that we made for LE:

But I guess you DO need to have some kind of a search feature on your site to
use this (rather popular) concept.

32:1 banner that we designed for one of our sponsors:

http://www.healself.com/main -- this one sits on the exclusive front page spot,
so it's always there. This particular banner has at least two unfair
advantages, though:

- we have extremely targeted audience
- it's animated

My personal feeling is that banner design is more of a witchcraft rather than
exact science. I would be very curious to see the professional study results on
click-throughs. Is anyone aware of anything like that (other than LE's
side-by-side comparisons)?
