In Spain, the situation is similar :

Big agencies, like Mccann, Bates, Ogilvy, do not have an interactive dep.
So, they hired outside agencies for each project.

But since the last 2 months, some big agencies are buying small interactive
agencies and are integrating them in their structure.

So, my opinion, as an interactive agency waiting to be bought, is that you
should place a stand alone group, but in side the agency.

Don't forget to mantain and develop relationships with the rest of dep. of
your agency.
