Lexis-Nexis would be one outstanding tool for this purpose. It wouldn't
give you every article from every little Podunk newspaper, but no other
database or clipping service could either. Their database is very deep
and well-organized; hundreds of magazines and journals (including
medical), newspapers, newsletters, and even broadcast transcripts.
Lexis-Nexis includes a service called "Eclipse" which works like an
automated clipping service updated at intervals you select. You can have
several "Eclipse" requests running simultaneously, each with it's own
search criteria. However, the service is not inexpensive. Depending on
your budget and the availability of staff to learn and use Lexis-Nexis,
it might make sense to hire a research service with Lexis-Nexis access to
provide you the articles. The time saved over a person slogging through
citations at a library and then tracking down the articles is amazing.
