Hello Listmembers,
I've been a member since the inception of this excellent list, but am
delurking to get your valuable opinions. We are about to release our site
in about a week. The site is database driven and contains about 20,000
records on local events, business, entertainment, government etc. We
believe this is an excellent vehicle for advertising and marketing due to
the category-specific nature of the information. We are intending to
offer banner ad placement/sponsorship to local and global business. My
questions are, (kinda late now, but...)

1)Does this look like a good opportunity from a potential client's point
of view?

2)Would you recommend we place sample-type ads soliciting the space or
leave it to the information we have in our Solutions area. I kind of
think the "Advertize Here" banners are tacky, what say you?

3)What about Link Exchange?
