RE:You were not kidding about guessing sales for a non existent site.
I can steer you into some "vague" answer. I built and marketed the Miami
Dolphins web site which now includes an online store of their products.

1. This was a completely new store- there was no prior catalog or other
direct team outlet.
2. We have tremendous traffic due to the content of the site -our ideal
target audience.
3. More than 2/3 of the orders are called in to the 800#. A large
portion of online orders are from foreign countries.
4.Less than 10% of browsers buy something. Since we have a lot of
browsers its worthwhile.

If you have a good product at a good price the key to sales will be your
marketing, much like your mail list for direct mail.

At the other extreme a store which has done no marketing or advertising
has had exactly 2 orders totalling under $100.
