Greetings All....

In a recent Digest, Kevin J. Leathers asked about attracting sponsors and

A strategy that has worked well for us, and for some of the clients that we
have advised, is to solicit advertisers for free trial advertising. This has
proven to be successful and it accomplishes the following:

o it legitimizes your site as a viable advertising vehicle when you
run the banners of substantial sponsors

o it initiates a relationship with an advertiser that frequently evolves
into a paying customer

o it gives you experience in managing banner delivery and statistics
reporting

By the way, if your advertisers don't require you to provide audited
statistics, I have found a banner management/reporting software package that
I heartily recommend. It's called Central Ad Pro and what makes it
exceptional is that it's fast (written in C++) and cheap. For the grand sum
of $80 they will even install it on your server for you. We use it to manage
banners on our WebStep TOP 100 site -- http://www.mmgco.com/top100.html

This is an unsolicited endorsement -- I'm not affiliated with Central Ad
Software in any way, and my company does not do promotional work for them.
I'm just really impressed by the awesome price/performance of this software.

Best Regards,
John Audette
