My company (https://www.e-benefits.com/) posted a banner advertisement
to Yahoo's "Web Release" section at a very steep price tag, and ended up
with around 22,000 hits for the week. However, out of all of these
hits, we did not record a single sale. We are currently re-evaluating
our Web Marketing strategy, and it looks like we will be focusing more
on link exchanges and the establishment of a listserv for industry info
and company updates. Any opinions on the most effective ways of getting
"qualified" hits? We have tried newsgroup posting, link exchanges,
banner ads, and are considering direct e-mailing as another possibility,
although we are still looking for a company that provides targeted lists
of e-mail addresses. Does anyone have any suggestions, based on what
has worked for their company?
Regards,
Michael
