It's amazing how many people feed me info about new networks like this.
In this case, Petry has an awesome contract: it provides that as an
affiliate with their network, you cannot have any dealings with any
other ad network, even for pages or sites unrelated to the pages you
register with them. And it also provides for minimum 12-month
exclusive contract, even if they fail to sell ads for you. (At least
with Burst, I can carry Commonwealth ads at all times when Burst has
not sold my space.)

And finally, it provides for revenue-sharing based solely on your
proportion to overall network sales -- so even if your site brings
in a demographic group that commands a premium, and even if Petry
collects a premium for your site, you only get an average impression
rate for the entire network (sites apparently receive 50% of what
Petry collects, which is already reduced by agency commissions and
discounts).

Note that nowhere on the Petry web site is there an email contact
address -- but once you register, you get email from them that
shows that the principal contacts for the company have AOL email
addresses.

>From the information I am getting, I actually think Petry is a
viable company -- they seem to be combining some good pieces
together. Apparently, they have taken the software technology
developed by Imgis, the web sites recruited by Ad-Net and Imgis,
and the sales force from Petry's TV sales force. One webmaster
even told me that he was told that Petry has already pre-sold
ALL its current inventory and that it is confident that all new
sites that sign up will have 100% paid ads for February and
March.

But Petry's affiliate agreement is absolutely insane, and their
payment structure needs to be revamped so that each web site
is rewarded for its own performance. (One email forwarded to
me suggests that Petry will continue to honor higher
revenue splits promised by Imgis or Ad-Net, if affiliates
sign over quickly -- but this still is just a percentage
of overall revenue, not site-specific revenue.)

Some people have suggested that Petry or its affiliates are
giving oral or email "assurances" that the contract does not
mean what it says, and that it is OK to do things which are
prohibited by the contract. DON'T SIGN THE CONTRACT UNLESS
YOU ARE WILLING TO BE BOUND BY IT. If you sign the contract
as I understand it currently, you are absolutely barred from
collecting any ad revenue from ANY other ad network, even if
you have a completely unrelated web site.
