Hello, everyone. Thank you for all of the interesting discussion and
information. Now I'm wondering whether anyone has had any interaction with
Virtual Emporium.

In addition to their website, they are setting up stores in Los Angeles (3
so far) and filling the stores with Internet access stations. They do not
charge the users, but they charge the Internet sites who want to be listed
in their listing of sites. Some of you may find their offer interesting.

They asked my client for $1,000 per month, probably an acceptable amount for
a site presenting items of general interest. Amazon and Virtual Vineyards
have signed up. However, my conclusion is that my client

is aiming at too narrow a market for the Virtual Emporium situation. My
client offers high-quality Baldwin knobs, levers, and door handles at 35%
discount. Fast shipment and big discounts help to widen the market, but the
hardware is still high-ticket material.
