This is my first foray into the world of online advertising via this list.
I've lurked about for a few weeks reading the interesting and insightful
comments of the group. Now, I have a couple of questions.

I am changing the business model employed at my site. Heretofore we have
used a traditional approach (fees-based) to the delivery of online training
courses. Beginning on March 1, we are going to provide the courses free of
charge to clients (individual, educational, corporate, you name it). We
are going to derive our income via online banner advertising. We think
this model will work well for us, and we also believe we are positioning
ourselves in a unique competitive posture.

What experiences, pitfalls, etc. should I look out for in this endeavor?
And, what experiences could you fellow members share vis-a-vis advertising
brokers/marketers who basically provide the services of a marketing
department?
