Before it is possible to suggest what are the best time to sell ads, the
obvious question is, "ads for what?" Each advertised commodity
has its own schedule. Political campaign ads peak in October;
toys & games in November/December. Car ads peak in the months
when cars sell best. But note that you see car ads year round.
To quote Glenn Berry's posting right after yours in this forum:
> People drink soft drinks all the time but drink more in hot weather.
> People buy car insurance (mostly) once a year.
> People buy lawn mowers when the grass is growing.
> People buy refrigerators when the old one has had it. (Summer seems to help)
As an estate planning attorney, I hired a marketing consultant to
advise me the best months to run seminars, and the best days to
advertise them. The seminar "market" peaks in March and
October, and bottoms out in the summer months and December.
Hence, you only operate them, and advertise them, in the better
months. My marketing consultant also had specific advice on
the days of the week to advertise seminars. All of this was based
on many studies; and his advice helped me a lot. (I haven't done
any seminars in over a year, partly because of other speaking
engagements and a busy practice.)
So the answer to your question depends on what you expect an
advertiser to promote at your site.
