I've enjoyed reading this list for the last several months. Thanks for the
thoughtful and insightful comments and suggestions.

Several list participants have written recently about *average* CPM. The
following statistic demonstrate that average varies widely, even for
similar publications:

* The average CPM for 21 leading consumer computer magazines was $35.46 in
1996.
* The average CPM for 32 leading controlled circulation computer magazines
was $108.76.

>From these numbers, I can only conclude that it is the buying authority of
audience that determines the value of the eyeballs. If its true in print,
it ought to be true online as well.
