We have also seen a great deal of 'suggestability' of products in our
markets: role playing games and computer games (both covering the fantasy,
science fiction and horror genres). Bulletin boards like the ones we have
on one of our sites http://www.webrpg.com for many different gaming
topics can definitely impact a consumer's purchasing decisions. On the flip
side though, 90% seems very high of an influence percent -- what was the
audience of your data sampling?

Many (not most) consumers are getting savvy enough to look for their
purchasing information online. Sites that provide that information (other
than the product manufacturer's site) seem to be in a great position to
help influence those purchases (thus pointing another finger at using
intelligent targeted advertising to go after your consumers).
