A lot of interesting discussions can arise from this case and I encourage
discussion of Sam's points.

However, do remember that this wasn't a case that actually came to court.
The parties settled among themselves before the case went to court. It thus
wasn't a case in which any court interpreted law or set any legal
precedent. The "linking license" in this case is not the product of any
judicial, executive, legislative, or other agency of government, but a
fabrication of the plaintiffs' attorneys to which the defendant has agreed
to observe.

I mention this because a lot of people think the TotalNews case sets a
precedent in the industry. If it does, it's not a legal precedent.
