I think both Jane and Josh are right. I am a little nervous at the
moment about giving my details to any sales operations, as I have just
received a media kit in the form of powerpoint demonstrations. The idiot
who contacted me sent two 7M files in the message and repeated the
message twice, leaving me with a 40MB+ mail file to download.

On the other hand, here in the UK, even the top sites still like to send
out expensive print media kits. The last time I requested one it took
over a week to arrive, at the third request. The London sales reps spend
all their time in restaurants and have no time for client service.

I think the best principle is that all the information must be easily
available and without delay. If you are planning to ask media reps to
register before getting the information, you will lose some interest,
but anyone with a serious interest would be happy to go ahead subject to
the following:

1. A quick and easy registration process
2. Immediate access to the relevant information
3. No abuse of the registration data
