In the 7/14/97 issue of Ad Bytes there's a note about Juno offering special
targeting
for up to $75 cpm.

I use Juno for e-mail. Does anyone else have questions about the
reliability of Juno's demographic information. In order to use the free
service users must complete demographic questionnaires, which are the
basis for Juno's targeting. However, it has no way to verify the info.
And if the G.V.U. (Ga. Tech) 2ce yearly studies on the i-net are any
indication, somewhere between about 20%-30% of men provide false info.
when they complete surveys. (A smaller percentage of women do this.) I
suspect that the demographic info. Juno collects is less reliable than
that collected through other channels.
Also, has anyone determined how many Juno users delete the ads from their
hard drives. My experience is that Juno down loads ads and never removes
them. And old ads which are no longer displayed just sit on my hard
drive. So if I don't remove them they just waste space on my hard drive.
I suspect I'm not the only one doing this.
