Let's face it, most of us spend most of our time trying to get
pre-identified, target accounts to look at our services, and are happy if
we get through to a few at any given time. We already know why they should
talk with us and know that we would be a good fit. Do we stop trying to get
through to those that are not interested right now? NO. Do we turn away
clients that find us? NO. Do we make most of our money from waiting around
for clients to find us? NO.

Given that, If I can provide information to accounts that are either not at
a high level of interest or have not been previously identified, I will. At
this level many people are on a search and are looking for reasons to
exclude you so that they can narrow their list to the most potential
candidates. At this point they will start making phone calls.

Anyone that has ever looked for an automobile or real estate in the
classified ads can relate to this. If there is an overwhelming number of
potential fits, we set up a list of qualifiers. Any auto that has no price
listed will most likely get passed, any house with no address or price will
most likely get the same. It is once we get down to a managable list that
we start to follow up with phone calls, detailed questions and a look at
the product.

Do I want to miss out on making the cut? NO. So what I will do is hang my
prices out there for all to see,. The truth of the matter is, if my web
site can work for me by informing potential accounts while I'm on the road
proposing those that I previously targeted, kuddos. If they have to track
me down and wait for a call back because I'm 30,000 feet above St. Louis,
then I have not put this technology to good use.
