This is a topic that I haven't seen yet but would like to get some
feedback on. Any comments are more than welcome directly to me,
tborgerding_at_futurepages.com.

In looking at the advancement and movement towards localization of the
internet that I have seen, are local, smaller companies going to start
advertising online? For instance, communities that have many smaller
companies that do a lot of advertising to their base of consumers
locally, what do they need to do to get those locally advertising
companies to go online and purchase advertising? Does the local
community based web site need to offer mini-web sites for them to
purchase ads?

Future Pages (http://www.futurepages.com) is focused on helping college
newspapers start earning revenues and building traffic to their sites
through a variety of products and services. One thing we have struggled
with is this question, how do they get the advertisers in their paper
version online to their web site? Especially those local advertisers
who make up a large portion of their revenue stream.

I am open to all suggestions and criticism. Thanks you.
