Now I admit that I am not an online advertising expert, but I do
use the Internet a great deal and work with companies on
implementing Electronic Commerce technologies. Anyway, please
keep in mind the first rule of business, the customer is always
right. You may have all the expertise in the world, but if you
start "witting the rules" or dictating things to your customers,
they will go to someone else. A customer may be a pain, but he
or she is keeping you lights on and your family fed.
Also, I use the Internet everyday, give seminars on it, and
talk to many companies about it and banner advertising does not
seem to be that effective. If the person is interested, then
they will click, if not they don't even notice it.
