How is this any differnet from when I read a magazine?

When I get WebWeek (which is going weekly right about now) I put it
straight into my
notebook case and I read it in taxis, transit, waiting for meetings etc.

Now, I read or skim every article, however, every time I turn the page and
see a two page ad spread I just keep turning. I can only name one of the
two page ads in WebWeek. That is only because I know the company very well
and they must have done a 12 month buy as it is in same place each time.

So, back to banner ads, if you are interested you act, if not you dont. I
am the EXACT same way with magazines. The good thing is with banner ads is
you can change the ad every hour/day/week/month where as that WebWeek page
if I ever refer back to it will always have the same ads.

With regard to MS paying for down loads. They can ask, you dont have to
support them. It's an easy choice, it's not like they rule the word, yet.
