At 6:22 PM -0500 3/12/97, Art Millman made this statement of rare insight:

Why would a $40/night traveler be _uncomfortable_ in a luxurious resort?
Just because you don't have the money to afford the luxury doesn't mean you
can't enjoy and appreciate it if you somehow are able to get it.

Certainly, some of the "bargin motel crowd" are a bit on the uncultured
side, but so are some people with money. And there are lots of low-income
people who would appreciate and be very comfortable in a luxury setting.

The problem seems to be that if someone with a low income wins a gratis
stay at one of the expensive resorts, they're not going to be able to afford
to come back. But since the idea of the contest is to promote the resorts,
that will hopefully have been done no matter who wins the free stays.

Does this mean there are resorts of various costs participating in your
campaign? If so, why not let the travelers do the matching? Can you have
the information about the individual resorts organized by price range? (A
good idea, anyway.) Then you could possibly have different contents within
each price range.
