I don't pretend to know anything about US law, but one way to get around
the legal rules on lotteries and gambling in the UK is to ensure that
the competition is (a) free to enter for anybody who wishes to enter and
(b) contains an element of skill, however small. Explain how the
prize(s) will be awarded and make it clear that the 'editor's decision
is final and no correspondence will be entered into.'
