Actually there's an entire article about this very subjuct in the March
10th issue of Advertising Age. ( Which by the way is one of the best issues
to come out in a while. ) On page s10 there's an article titled "Rush to
name interactive AOR softens". It's the first time I'd ever heard of
someone declaring an Interactive Agency of Record myself. Basically it
mentions that naming Interactive Agencies of Record was "all the rage" a
few years ago (news to me) and that companies are now diversifying their
interactive assignments. It goes on to mention a few case histories, and
then mentions that a few companies like Microsoft are sticking to the
Agency of Record idea but trolling other agencies for ideas.

In any case, pick up that issue... there's a lot of good material in it.
