Don't know if anyone answered this for you yet - the list doesn't
seem to send me everything.

You should be able to specify that only SOME pages get parsed, not
all. like those ending in .shtml This is a basic feature in
Netscape servers, others I'm sure.

That might not solve your problem if in fact you want them to be on
every page.

I have to say however, that if your server is starting to lag by
doing that, you should investigate using Apache/fastcgi (see if
adjuggler works with fastcgi) and/or get a faster server. We just
got a 500 mhz DEC alpha (its blazing fast) for about $6000. That's
really pretty cheap. Perhaps you can split the load between the
boxes.

I noticed on your site that it was incredibly zippy. But saw no ads
to speak of as well.

You may consider hosting your ads somewhere else, I do believe that
there are services available that will manage your adspace remotely.
That's a little out of my area of expertise however, you'll need to
investigate that on your own.
