In response to Bob Bose's comments on the book referral programs...I
designed and administer CD Universe's Link Partner Program (
http://www.cduniverse.com/htdocs/partner.htm ) and have found that our
most succesful partners are near a 1:1 ratio for visitors to dollars
spent. Is that an arbitrary measuremnt, I do not know. I do not have the
data to say at what traffic level that measurement "means anything"
either but can say emphatically that the Books.com program is far more
generous and flexible than Amazon's.
