I have been extremely impressed with the quality of content on this list
and hope to contribute accordingly.

It is interesting how the Netscape ad works. It tests something about
your browser, its age, and whether or not it is a licensed copy, and if
it thinks it needs to, it provides a Pop-Up Interstitial. Although the
interstitial has already been introduced with some support, and some
objection, it does not always take place as a Pop-Up. On some websites,
it can take place as a Director movie or Java applet that loads into
memory while the main attraction loads in the background. Where I feel
that the Netscape ad fell short is that it required the user to dismiss
the window, rather than close automatically once the principal URL
destination has been loaded into memory.
