ONLINE-ADS>> Too Niched?

Please forgive any ignorance. I'm relatively new in
the web advertising section and tryin' to learn!
I'm attempting to start realizing banner ad and
sponsorship revenue from an online, radio trade
magazine that is generating in excess of a million
page views per month. If you're online and in the
radio business then you're a regular user of this

Agencies that I've talked to say that this appeal is
too niched. I think it's just the opposite. These are
radio announcers who can be impacted and then go
the air and impact literally tens of millions of
consumers in every single city in the country.
It would be ideal for new movies, television shows,
products like Surge, etc.

Heck, the Gordon Elliott show spends major dollars
sending promotional cds', trinkets, faxes and even
structuring entire shows around radio promotions.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. It seems obvious to
me but maybe I'm just out there...
