Hi Gang...

My name is Anita Windisman and I joined this list about 2 months
ago. The time has come for me to introduce myself and to respond
to the "Ad Flipping" dilemma...

I'm an Account Executive with Gallop + Gallop WorldWide Corp.,
a Canadian advertising firm.

A COMPANY INTRODUCTION:

Gallop + Gallop Advertising recently launched "The Virtual
Billboard Network" (VBN) -- an advertising network of independent
web publishers. Anyone publishing content for the Web may join
(Canadian sites only -- so far -- with the intent of going global).
We are non-exclusive, so Websites can undertake other advertising
initiatives.

What makes VBN unique, is that we charge advertisers only for
click throughs. Gross impressions are FREE. Ad campaigns can be
structured so that the advertiser only pays for user requests
within a regional or national trading area.

The "AD FLIPPING" SOLUTION:

The Virtual Billboard Network (VBN) solves the problem of "ad flipping".
Here's how VBN works: Our banners look like an "outdoor"
sign -- which includes the VBN logo at the bottom of the ad (just
like the outdoor billboards). But each VBN billboard has "forward"
and "back" arrows at the bottom of the ad, which allows users to
browse available advertising messages, to find ads appealing to
them. So, if you've missed an ad...just go back, or forward and
find it again yourself.

The ad is at the top of the page. You'll need a Java
enabled browser to see the ad.

(So far, we have a limited number of ads running on the network:
Canada Trust, Yahoo Canada, etc. but soon to come:
a major retailer, a major Canadian bank and others.)
As the number of ads in the network increases,
the scroll arrows will become more effective.
