One of the things we are looking at in the UK is whether to get together
a small number of independent media owners to sponsor a Web sales
operation and/or to take on an independent rep. Given the lack of
knowledge of Web media by UK agencies, the intention would be to recruit
a media salesperson and train them up in all things Internet. That way
they bring their media experience and contacts to the party, but we do
not limit recruitment to a few specialists.

I would also consider going to an established media rep firm with a
proposal that includes training an existing rep in Web ad issues.
