Richard -
Search engines are dying for well heeled, well staffed sites with the
ability to undertake (or hire out) the labor intensive work of online
promotion. For small business owners who may not have the ability or the
knowledge to implement an online marketing campaign, search engines
remain a viable way to lead some traffic, however small, to the site.
Online marketing strategies are still a mystery to many net
publishers, while everyone seems to know Yahoo. This lack of
knowledge/ability will keep the search engines fat for a while, albeit on
their already shaky ground.
Best,
Lyle Deitch
