To: online-ads_at_o-a.com
From: Alan Keys <ak_at_adsura.com>
Subject: Strategic Partner for Ad-Related Technology

I have been a subscriber on and off for the past 6 months and have read
the ongoing postings with interest. In particular, I have been waiting
for someone to mention the use of free software utilities, given away,
in exchange for ad space.

We are a small Internet Technology Company, ADSURA Pty Ltd, based in
South Australia. We have developed and filed a Patent for the ability
to do online, instant currency conversion. This is not one of those
sites you have to go to to put in a value and wait for the conversion.
Our technology allows for a drop down menu to appear right on the page
where the prices are. By selecting a new currency, all the prices in
the page will immediately change to the new currency selected. We have
designed the system to allow a sponsors message, an Ad banner, or even
a java based mini-site to be displayed.

Our plan was to give away the technology in return for ad real-estate
on the page, therefore generating an inventory of available space which
could be sold via ad brokers.

Sounds great, but there is only one snag, we are a small company and
this needs to be tackled by a BIG company, preferably an organisation
heavily into online advertising, or wants to be. Does anyone out there
have any ideas for us. We are looking for a strategic partner or a
technology licensing deal. Contact Alan Keys, direct, for further info
and the username/password required to access our online demo at
www.adsura.com.

Subject: Need Software for "Affiliate Program"

I have been retained as a project consultant by a company which
plans to launch an "affiliate" or "partners" program (similar to the
programs at Amazon and CD Universe). I have identified several
vendors who offer software that could be used to do this function
(they are included in the list at http://www.markwelch.com/ad_sw.htm)
but I thought I should ask here if anyone knows of other software or
vendors willing to license their in-house software. If anyone knows
of any such software that could be licensed, I would appreciate a
referral. It would be useful if the product could interface with the
Microsoft set of commerce tools. It is also important that the
solution selected be able to "ramp up" to support banner display
and tracking of 100 million adview per month or more.
The program must provide detailed reporting for affiliate sites.
