MS is buying "unusal" keywords to promote its products and to get Reno
sniffing down other tracks; or more likely

My dealings with keyword buys are based on the string that you want to
buy. So, I could buy two words yak and blue. But if more than just that
string, ie, yak is inputted it would not match. Even if the person enters
blue yak.

One phrase I was looking for was "travel insurance". Travel was already
taken as was insurance, but this this case "travel insurance" was not
taken.
