ONLINE-ADS>> E-commerce Fuels Advertising Growth

A possible scenario? As e-commerce solutions are quickly becoming
cheaper, it seems reasonable to assume that companies of all sizes
will bring their business online in the coming years. Yes, there are
e-commerce naysayers who believe that e-commerce will remain
relatively small, but overall there is extremely strong positive
growth with online sales. Forrester Research predicts that $6.6
billion will be spent via e-commerce in the year 2000. With the
start-up costs of e-commerce becoming relatively low, many of the
barriers to bringing a business online will be eliminated. Except for
one. The cost of creating an online presence. What do people think?
Could the existence of cheap online e-commerce solutions lead to
unexpected increases in online ad spending? Or did I take too many
optimism pills this morning?
