ONLINE-ADS>> checking if banners are really running on multiple sites

Does anyone know if there is a program (or a robot) that checks the
integrity of banner ads and links. To be more specific, let's say your
company has placed an ad on 50 web sites. How do you know that each one is
displaying your ad (as per the contract) and the server is in working
order? Is there a program (like a spider or something) that would surf all
the URL's that you have an ad on and check the
integrity.......daily.......weekly.......??????
