ONLINE-ADS>> VRML advertising follow up

This has been a great discussion about VRML advertising and its advantages
and disadvantages in the consumer marketplace (as well as the on-going
technical requirements discussion). It's my personal opinion that
eventually VRML banner ads will catch on (the way animated GIFs and Java
did and are), but out of curiosity, I was wondering how many of you looked
at the Pepsi ad that's located at:

http://vrml.sgi.com/features/ (look down the left frame to the link called
"VRML Banner Ads: 8.13.97" )

I have come across some other companies that are starting to investigate
this technology and use it in advertising, engineering, and sales.

My question is (aside from how many people have looked at VRML content):
How do you think that this technology can be used in advertising and
marketing on the Web? (Feel free to email me directly or to the mailing
list as well.)

Thanks in advance for your ideas and feedback.

-Michael
