The trouble with Web "malls" is that they typically do not represent a
large enough piece of the Internet for people to be confident that a
search on that site will produce the product they are looking for.

The best site for searching for a specific product that I have found is
Buyer's Index at http://www.buyersindex.com/. Notice that it is called
an index, not a mall. Listing is free, but the site listed must be
retailing one or more products. It looks as though they plan to make it
with sponsorships.
