Welcome to the UK! If I had a pound for every UK agency person I have
spoken to who didn't understand the online advertising, I wouldn't need to
sell advertising. UK agencies are definitly a long way behind the US.

To be fair, most agency personel do want to learn but they feel that they
have to use what they know. Why risk £10,000 on a new media campaign when
a 1 page advert in the Daily Telegraph gaurantees you 2 million eyeballs
for the same money?

We have recently carried out some research on agency attitudes to new
media. We discovered that most agency decisions (to try or not try?) are
client lead. If anyone would like a copy of the research please e-mail me.
