"Avenue A" and "Ad Club Network" are the names now
used by the folks who launched the "Pacific Coast" pay-per-
click program some time ago. This was one of the more
successful programs (promoting comforters and pillows
and paying 10 cents per click), and quietly grew into a
viable competitor to eAds. Other "up and coming" vendors
in this market are ValueClick and PennyWeb.

Ad Club Network has a unique "down side," in that they
will pay sites for a maximum of 4% click through rate
(e.g. $4 CPM); higher CTRs are presumed to be the result
of "cheating." As a result, I generally urge sites to use
Ad Club as their ad network only as a "backup" to other
networks with more upside (for example, FlyCast).
