I think this is a pretty direct question! I was the chair for Web Marketing
'98/Seattle, but wasn't involved with the sponsorship side at all, so can't
tell you too much about Avenue A except that Scott Lipsky, my boss when I
was at Amazon.com (he was VP of Business Expansion), left Ad Club Network
to join Avenue A recently. Scott's a smart guy - if he's really smart he's
reading this list, hi, Scott! - and is certainly a tremendous boost to any
company trying to integrate technology and marketing.

(I heard that my name got connected at the event as having some involvement
with Avenue A or helping to promote them; I don't know where this got
started and would appreciate email if anyone does. I'd like to make it
publicly known that I don't have any relationship with them.)
