I must agree. TV viewers are passive and not inclined to delve into the news
any further than the spoonfed soundbite/s they support by their viewing
habits (wow--I sound cynical!). Gone are the good old days when the Average
Person sat down after work and read the evening newspaper from front page to
back page.

Predictions tend to come back and bite you, but what the heck: I predict
webtv viewers will have little inclination to click through to background
stories, etc. (unless..."Click here to see what Monica Lewinski does on her
day off!").

Just my two cents.
