I joined Click Trade just about when it started. My first
experience was the quick loss of $100 to a few unscrupulous
people who put a hidden link on the site and sat there and
clicked on it repeatedly. I protested to ClickTrade and
dropped those offending sites from my payout list. However,
next I found that other sites had put a visible link, but
the IP addresses showed about 90% of the traffic coming from
the same, identical address with almost no unique visitors.
I gave the whole thing a 3-month trial and found myself
spending exorbitant amounts of time checking up on the
sites, the visitors, etc to see that no cheating was going
on. I finally cancelled out and would not repeat that
experience again.
On the general topic of online advertising, here is a good
article about banner ads and other online ad strategies.
