Okay, let me summarize my affiliate earnings from part of 1998.
These are checks ACTUALLY RECEIVED from vendors,
not promises or accrued-but-unpaid earnings. Note that
this doesn't include some earnigns received before Sept. 4
(a computer crash lost my data, so I can't identify the source
of some payments from early 1998,and I see a handful of
under-$50 deposits that probably represent affiliate checks) .
$3.42 from Soda Creek Press for book sales
$5 from Audio Book Club
$9.00 from Submit-It for site submission referrals
$10.00 from AdPush (two webmaster signups x $5)
$10.00 from Apex Internet (web hosting referral[s])
$30.59 from an unspecified web hosting vendor
$24.22 + $18.34 from Internet Unlimited (web hosting)
> $45.00 from Cendant Corp (Books.com)
$60.00 from Computer Literacy Books
> $325.00 from Cybernet Media Vendors (Adult Check)
> $1,100 (April-Dec) from Safe-Audit (site signups _at_ $5 each)
> $1,400 from ValueClick referrals (does not include CPM ads)
I also obtained six CD's since June from CDNOW using my
"Cosmic Credit" (total CDNOW earnings/credit for 1998 was
over $100, of which $16 remains available; if I hadn't used the
credit to buy CDs, I could have received a check from CDnow).
I earned another $2,000 from ClickTrade (mostly pay-per-click
advertising, much of it for ClickTrade itself), and another $1,800
from ISPcheck for pay-per-click ads.
Although the above revenues are "nice," they represent
a very small fraction of the total advertising revenue at my
site during 1998 (total is "over $50,000" actually received).
