ONLINE-ADS>>Seeking Insight re Discrepancies in Traffic Monitored

Hi Richard & Fellow Online Advertisers,

I want to thank all those who had responded to my post on January 27
seeking to purchase click-through advertising from fellow subscribers.
I had since then contacted a few of those whose clicks-through I could
afford and placed an order with one fellow subscriber and will very
possibly place an order with another fellow subscriber in the near
future.

I manage a small Marketing Coop and had placed banner advertising
for only 2 months but had already learned a great deal about online
advertising. Would deeply appreciate if the more veteran members
could enlighten me on what could account for the discrepancies
for traffic monitored by 3 different sources.

Advertising Site's Stats WS Counter WS StatsLog

504 439 456

I am assuming that perhaps the counter for some reason didn't load or
increment 17 times (456 - 439) even though I had placed the counter
as the first line on the Coop's Mini-mall so it should load before
anything else on the page.

I am more interested to know what could account for the difference in
traffic as monitored by the Advertising site as compared with my own
server's statslog. A difference of 48 clicks-through is about 10% and
appears to be too much as it effectively raises the CTR paid.

Would deeply appreciate learning from those who had bought click-
through advertising what percentage of discrepancy do they usually
experience between what is reported by the click-through advertising
site versus their own server's statslog.

I am in no way inferring that the advertising site's stats are
inaccurate. I just want to know what could possibly account for
the 10% discrepancy and also the experiences of others who had
purchased click-throughs.
