ONLINE-ADS>> Advertising on Intranets

A recent story by Noah Shachtman in Information Week focuses on banner ads
on Intranets.
According to the article, Ad Space For Sale, Intranet advertising is on
the rise, as IT managers use it to cover costs and provide content. A year
ago, intranet advertising would have seemed unthinkably invasive. Today, it
is gaining acceptance and is poised to enter the mainstream. Corporate IT
managers are allowing-even encouraging-ads on their intranets.
Does anyone have tales to tell about successes in penetrating the corporate
firewall with ads? Any luck tracking these ads and the response rates?
Much obliged,
Bob Schmidt
