Thus speaks a T-1 user. The main reason is bandwidth, the secondary
reason is a lack of standards.

Often, sites don't support the media, because their users are poorly
equipped. Just go to SonicNet on a 28.8 modem and try out the Levi's
I-Candy they have there.

In the past, we've run bandwidth-intensive, rich media ads in cybercafes:
we can ensure they have the technology. We also rep Internet kiosk
companies to the same effect and are very excited about Netpulse, another
Internet-in-public-places company we rep.

Netpulse is removing the screens on Lifecycles and Stairmasters in
fitness centers and replacing them with Web-and-TV capable touchscreens.
Because they can control the cache for each machine, we can preload that
cache with full-screen video. Thus, clicking on a banner can bring up a
cached 30 second TV commercial, with an option to visit the advertiser's
Web site thereafter...
