I think it's an interesting strategy but they have to be very careful in how
the public perceives it. If the perception is that "greedy Intel is trying
to clog the web up so they can sell faster processors" then I think it will
be very bad for them, to say nothing of the sites that participate in the
program.

It will be interesting to see people's reactions to it, based on how the
program is implemented. I think if they do it in such a way that it doesn't
interfere with the user's ability to access a participating site's content
then it might not alienate people. But if it does affect the average users
ability to access content then it's going to end up being a headache for
Intel from a PR perspective (and probably for the participating sites as
well).
